The University of East London has propelled itself into the forefront of university sport across its 5 high performance sports tennis, athletics, volleyball, basketball and football.
The exceptional coaching and service provision allows its student-athletes to develop and excel. We have an extensive array of alumni and current students who have progressed to become professional athletes and compete on the international stage.

Sports scholarships
We are the most ambitious and the most improved university in the UK for sport, our High Performance Support is paving the way in creating our world class athletic super stars.
Athletics
The UEL athletics programme attracts some of the very best athletes from the UK and abroad including Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
Basketball
UEL's basketball programme is ranked number 1 in London and its men's programme sits in the Top 2 in the UK.
Football
Our Football Programme is Ranked number one in BUCS points for universities in London.
Tennis
UEL's tennis programme is ranked no.1 in London and in the top 8 in the UK.
Volleyball
UEL's volleyball programme is currently ranked in the top 3 in the UK and a designated Volleyball England Senior Academy.
