Hi, my name is Nancy and I'm studying Medical Physiology, going into my second year. Here's how I got through Clearing.

Clearing was much easier and simpler than I thought. At the time, I was really stressed and overwhelmed because I had no plan, but the Clearing team was able to help me find the right course for me.

Throughout my studies, I've developed lots of essential laboratory skills through the practicals we do each year.

My advice is to call the Clearing team. They can help guide you through the steps you need to take when selecting your course and explain what the course is like, its duration, and the future career opportunities it can lead to.

So just don't be scared, and just do it.

I'm studying Theatre Directing, and living here has allowed me to work front of house at a West End theatre. Being in that environment and meeting the people I need to meet has directly influenced my ability to network and build connections.

I think one of the most beneficial things UEL has provided in terms of career development is the Mental Wealth programme. They brought in a wide range of industry professionals to talk to us about what day-to-day life is like in the industry and helped provide valuable connections.

UEL has been a really exciting time in my life and has set me up to go beyond university. It's a great place to build a community, and the location is fantastic.

You're not sacrificing anything by coming to UEL. It offers a lot of amazing programmes and opportunities, the location is hard to beat, and the lecturers genuinely care about you. It really is a great option, and you shouldn't be worried about it.
