Meet employers
On campus events
We host a number of exciting employer events on campus, enabling students to network with employers and gain insight into various organisations and industries.
In addition to two major annual careers fairs, we host a number of panel events, guest lectures, hackathons and networking events.
Employers work with the University to access our talented students.
Events are delivered on-campus, online and as part of the curriculum.

Types of events
- Careers Fairs
We host two major annual careers fairs which bring students and graduates together with a range of employers and guest speakers across a number of industries.
You can find out more about various recruitment processes and apply for opportunities on the spot. We help you to prepare to ensure you stand out from the crowd.
- Panel/Networking events
Employers will have the chance to present to students on a panel, and meet with them in a relaxed atmosphere in order to talk about their organisation and current vacancies.
- Hackathon events
These events allow you to showcase your skills by responding to challenges, working in a team and coming up with new and innovative solutions.
Hackathons are also used as recruitment events where the activities are designed to ensure you are able to highlight the skills employers are looking for.
- Insight events
Employers will deliver talks to students in order to inform them about their organisation, current opportunities and recruitment processes.
- Lecture talks
Similar to Insight Events, employers will deliver talks to students about their organisation, current opportunities and recruitment processes, during lecture time.
There are a lot of students who would be suited to ELBA's programme, and meeting them face to face has really helped us to gauge their needs.

Fit for Sport
I found the AWS hackathon to be interesting as it tested my ability to not only solve issues with technology, but to work with other individuals in the process. Thus, providing an experience unbeknownst by myself before the commencement of the hackathon. As a first year student with a goal of having a start-up, I believe this event was a valuable experience."
