Meet Jessica
Jess is a Media Production student at the University of East London. As a deaf student, she explored many universities before choosing UEL for its strong support system. She shares how the course has helped her develop a wide range of skills to prepare for her future.
She inspires others by sharing that she worked on a production involving both deaf and hearing dancers, along with the audience. Her goal was to show deaf children that anything is possible — that they can be whoever they want to be.
Our Media Production course gives you the opportunity to build an impressive portfolio by creating next-level media projects across video, photography, and digital platforms.

Our media graduates have gone on to successful careers in television, film, journalism, publishing, advertising, public relations, and game design and production. Many have used the skills gained at UEL to thrive as freelancers or start their own businesses.
Notable alumni include a former media student who became editor of The Sun, the UK’s biggest-selling daily newspaper, and another who became editor of The Irish Post within just three years of graduating. Others have secured roles at ITN, written for major TV shows including EastEnders, or continued their studies with MAs in Filmmaking or PhDs in Games Design.

I don't think I've ever been made to feel more welcome. Being surrounded by people who are friendly, social, and share your interests has to be one of the best things I can say about my university experience."
