Our historic Stratford campus is in one of the best-connected areas in London. It's close to Stratford's thriving town centre, Westfield Stratford City, and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

We're a 10-minute walk from Stratford station – a major transport hub for London and the whole of the UK. From there it's just:

  • 14 minutes to London ExCel
  • 15 minutes to Hackney Wick
  • 22 minutes to Bond Street
  • 25 minutes to Westminster
  • 45 minutes to Stansted Airport

Public transport

The Stratford campus is a short walk from the Stratford, Stratford International and Maryland rail stations. It's also served by the Jubilee, Central and Elizabeth Underground lines, the DLR, and a busy bus station. Bus routes calling at Stratford station include: the 25, 69, 86, 104, 108, 158, 238, 241, 257, 262, 276, 308, 425, and the D8. 

Free bus service

We operate a regular, free bus service between our Stratford and Docklands campuses. This runs morning to evening, and takes about 25 minutes. It has step-free access. See the bus timetable.

By road

The campus is accessible via the A12, A13 roads, and the A406 London circular.

Parking

Parking is not available for students during peak hours (8.00am-5.00pm, Monday-Friday), although Blue Badge holders can apply for a peak hours parking permit. All students can apply for an off-peak parking permit, allowing them to use the campus car parks at Docklands and Stratford outside these times.

Stratford Campus tour

Our historic Stratford campus is located in one of the best-connected areas of London: close to Stratford's thriving town centre, the 2012 Olympic Park, and just 15 minutes from London's West End.

The Stratford campus is home to the School of Childhood and Social Care and the Centre for Clinical Education in Podiatry, Physiotherapy and Sports Science.

Our Library and Learning Services are open 24/7, so you can spend time studying when it suits you. Need to study but can’t come to campus? Take advantage of our growing collection of electronic resources, including e-books, e-journals and databases.

We've invested £170 million over the years in our facilities across our campuses, including £14m in our Stratford library.
