Bus timetable
Thursday 2 January 2025 to Friday 2 May 2025
Please note, there is no bus service on Friday 18 April and Monday 21 April 2025
At UEL, we understand that reliable transport is crucial for students to manage their time effectively and attend classes and extracurricular activities. We aim to provide a bus service that meets the needs of our students, whilst balancing several important factors, including ridership levels, financial pressures, sustainability targets towards achieving net zero emissions, and the availability of alternative local transport options.
Support for students with financial travel assistance can be made via Student Services – you may be able to get a letter for a Student Oyster Card. Please note, that applications will be assessed alongside broader considerations affecting the University.
The vehicle types (Double Decker Bus/Single Decker Bus or Coach) are the vehicles that are usually allocated to those journeys. Vehicle types may change due to traffic delays. Double Decker Bus/Single Decker Bus are accessible vehicles.
The Bus Service
The service is restricted to members of the University, and all students, staff and UEL contractors (holding a bona fide UEL contractor's ID card) will need to show their UEL ID card in order to board the bus. Unfortunately, individuals who cannot produce their UEL ID card will not be able to use the service. Seats cannot be reserved in advance and the service is offered on a first come first served basis.
There are times when the bus reaches capacity. We therefore suggest an early arrival at the bus stop to guarantee a seat. If the Double Decker bus is full to its legal capacity before its departure time, it will leave early. This may happen at any stop on route from Docklands to Stratford to USS.

As much as we aim to provide a bus service that meets the needs of our students, we must also balance several important factors, including ridership levels, financial pressures, sustainability targets towards achieving net zero emissions, and the availability of alternative local transport options.
