East London nights are lit! This part of London has it all (and then some) from boutique cocktail bars, basement clubs, themed party palaces, traditional pubs, warehouse raves and more. East London is bound to please with its night-time antics whatever your vibes.

Shoreditch is notorious for its bars, clubs and buzzing nightlife. From restaurants in old courthouses (complete with prison cell VIP drinking booths) to trapeze themed circus bars and beyond through The looking glass and refurbished nightclubs like Xoyo you’re bound to find something to your liking in this cool neighbourhood.

Hackney Wick remains one of London’s best kept secrets with a myriad of warehouse spaces for big ticket raves or intimate hidden bars, this canal-side area is awash with cyclists, pints by the river, casual eateries and plenty of character, whatever the weather. Enjoy a pizza and some craft beer with a Lea River view at Crate Brewery or re-live your childhood with nostalgic games like PacMan or classic Nintendo and Sony consoles at Four Quarters. If you’re up for some good food and revelry number 90 always delivers with its spacious bar that sometimes hosts the next big ticket names in the music industry or if you fancy a drinking boat trip, look no further than Alfred Le Roy where you can enjoy cocktails ahoy.

Dalston is another East London area where you venture for a night to remember – or most likely forget (at least you’ll have the pictures). Here you’ll find tasteful Japanese jazz joints like Brilliant Corners or the Dalston Roof Park, a rooftop bar and music venue whose profits go back into powering young people succeed in their business ventures. Ridley Road Market Bar is a delightfully East London scruffy version of a tiki bar serving cheap drinks on a sweaty dancefloor and if you fancy something a little more upmarket Furanxo morphs in the evening from charcuterie into fine wine drinking join with cheeses on the side.

Canary Wharf may be a hub of business and finance during the day but by night it turns into a lively location with plenty of affordable eateries, after-work bars and al-fresco terraces. Think immersive fun fuelled by alcohol at Electric Shuffle or happy hour drinks, pizza and gaming fun at Pizza Pilgrims. Treat yourself at The Humble Grape where with 400 different wines on offer you’re bound to find your favourite or get a taste of Germany’s Oktoberfest all year round at the Munich Cricket Club.
