Nightlife
Nightlife
East London is one of the best parts of the capital for students looking for nightlife that’s fun, affordable and welcoming. Away from central London’s tourist crowds, you’ll find a wide variety of bars, clubs, rooftops, breweries and casual hangouts that suit different tastes and budgets.
As a UEL student, you also have access to social life on campus through the Students’ Union (SU), which runs themed nights, live music events, quiz nights, socials and other entertainment opportunities. Joining SU clubs and activities is a great way to meet friends and explore local nightlife together.
One handy tip for students on a budget: check out apps like Dusk, which can give you free drinks and highlight the best student-friendly spots nearby.

- Stick together: Go out with friends or SU groups, and keep each other informed.
- Watch your drinks: Never leave your drink unattended and know your limits.
