Fees
All applicants are asked to provide fee assessment information, to determine whether you pay international tuition fees.
Undergraduate tuition fees
Average length: 3 years
For new full time international students starting in 2024: £14,820 per year for all Schools, except £14,580 for students of the School of ACE.
Postgraduate tuition fees
Course fees for new postgraduate students are provided on our individual postgraduate course pages.

International students are required to pay a deposit of their tuition fees before being issued a Confirmation of Acceptance number. The deposit required depends on the level of study and information on how to pay and what amount to pay, can be found on the Offer Letter/Email.

Saving you money on your fees
You may be able to apply for an international scholarship to study with us at the University of East London. Our International Office can advise you about any opportunities in your own country, the UK or in your particular subject area.
International Scholarships
The University will award scholarships/discounts of up to £5000 to our international self-funded students paying full overseas fees. Have a look at our scholarships available.

Note: this does not apply to US students applying for Federal Aid (federalaid@uel.ac.uk) or those on full external scholarships.
Early Payment Discount
You can save 5 per cent on your undergraduate or postgraduate tuition fees, if you pay them in full before mid-September, the year you start your course. If you're starting your postgraduate course in September or January, you can save 5 per cent on your tuition fees by paying them in full before the date specified in your Offer Letter/Email.
Alumni Scholarship
If you previously studied at UEL and were awarded a qualification, you are eligible for our Alumni Scholarship, which is worth up to 25% off your tuition fees for any subsequent courses you take with us. Any UEL student who progresses directly onto a postgraduate programme with no gap year will receive a 15% discount on tuition fees. This cannot be combined with the alumni discount.
To apply, you must already hold one of the following qualifications from UEL:
- undergraduate degree
- master's degree
- professional doctorate degree
- postgraduate research degree
You cannot apply for the Alumni Scholarship if your course involves distance learning or if you are studying towards a post-compulsory education and training (PCET) course or any short course or courses worth less than 120 credits.
Course Specific Scholarships
For some courses such as architecture or in the field of healthcare, there are sometimes scholarships or bursaries available. Check the course details on the website to find out whether this applies to you.

Sports Scholarships
With our outstanding SportsDock facilities, it's no surprise that UEL is attracting some of the country's most talented young athletes.
Our high-performance sports programme is one of the most attractive in the UK. It gives elite athletes the chance to balance study with their sporting ambitions by offering world-class facilities, comprehensive support and financial scholarships and bursaries.
Our sports scholars include Olympians, Paralympians and senior internationals who represent UEL at national and international university competitions.
We offer:
- non-repayable bursaries for international (non-EU) students worth up to £6,000 a year
- up to £1,000 worth of support services, such as free access to SportsDock, free physiotherapy and sports massage
- up to £1,000 for students with a coaching qualification towards the cost of additional sports qualifications
To be eligible, you must be seeking to study for a minimum of one year. You will also need to have gained an offer from UEL to be considered for a place on the programme. Visit our sports scholarships pages.
TEAMUEL
TeamUEL offers £1,000 worth of relevant discounts such as membership of our SportsDock complex and meal vouchers to anyone interested in competitively playing or supporting sports at UEL.
TeamUEL member support includes a free TeamUEL kit, Silver SportsDock membership, Sports Club membership, club training and a ticket to the annual Sports Awards dinner.
You can also choose up to £550 worth of additional support such as free Gold SportsDock membership, five personal training sessions, meal vouchers, a coaching qualification, a cash bursary of £250 and sports social night vouchers.

Funding for North Americans
UEL students may be able to access funding from the US to help pay for school related expenses in the UK.
