Starting Out 5-week short course

The Starting Out course runs on five Wednesdays and will be based at University Square Stratford.  

The course helps to develop your skills and knowledge to enable you to return to education and apply to university with confidence.  

Each two hour session covers pre-entry programmes, funding university study, study skills needed for university study, mini lectures and an end of course certificate   presentation ceremony.

Course dates: 

4 November: 10am - 12.30pm: Educational opportunities – including pre-entry programmes that enable you to progress to university study & how to apply
11 November:  10am - 12 noon: Funding university study – understanding the fees system
18 November:  10am - 12 noon: Study skills – how to become an effective learner
25 November:  10am - 12 noon: Mini lectures – taster sessions from a range of UEL and Birkbeck courses
2 December 10am - 12-30pm: Mini lectures
