Congratulations, you have been selected to interview for a place on one of the following courses:
- BA (Hons) Music Performance and Production (with Foundation)
- BA (Hons) Music Performance and Production
- BA (Hons) Music Technology and Production (with Foundation)
- BA (Hons) Music Technology and Production
- BA (Hons) Sound and Music for Games (with Foundation)
- BA (Hons) Sound and Music for Games
Where will the interview take place?
The Interviews will take place online via MS Teams or similar. You will be sent a link once you have confirmed your interview date and time.
What do I need to bring?
You should bring your online portfolio. Your portfolio needs to demonstrate your engagement with Music production or show you as a music performer. This could be your own music production or collaboration OR a performance of your own music or a cover version of a song. It should clearly demonstrate your skills and technique within music performance and music production relevant to your course choice.
Your portfolio should be a link to any social media platform (SoundCloud, Bandcamp, YouTube or similar) where we can review your work (video and/or audio). It is your responsibility to ensure your portfolio and /or links are accessible on the day.
What should I expect on the day?
Members of the course team will lead the interview. They’ll discuss your portfolio and ask questions relevant to you chosen course. Questions may include: Why have you chosen this course? What are your career plans? Tell us about your music inspirations?
What happens during the interview?
This interview should last approx. 20-30mins. After an initial introduction we’ll discuss your portfolio. They’ll also be opportunity for you to ask questions about the course, facilities and resources.
When will I be notified of the outcome?
We will notify you of the outcome of your interview through your UCAS Track or we will send you an email with our decision. If you receive a place, you will be required to accept/decline your place as per UCAS deadlines/the deadline in your email.
