As a leading club at the University, we attract athletes from all over London and the South East. We pride ourselves on our ability to develop talent, and have a fantastic track record when it comes to turning novices into finalists.
Our coaching staff include multiple East London graduates who know what it means to represent your University. Our coaching coordinator & sprints coach, Coral Nourrice has experience coaching both national & international athletes within Newham and Essex Beagles Athletics Club.
Jacob Hood, our endurance coach is a current student and Chairperson of Newham & Essex Beagles, whilst being one of the most exciting young coaches currently involved in the London endurance running scene.
Together, with support from other students and Newham & Essex Beagles coaches, the Athletics Club provides high quality coaching provision, catering for all levels, abilities and athletic events.
Training sessions for the club are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6pm at Terrance McMillan Stadium.
Members benefit from free access to our Sports Therapy Clinic, which provides free sports massage and injury treatment via the students of the Sports Therapy BSc programme.
