We know you are looking for a University that will support your creativity, challenge you to develop your skills and help you build a career; we are looking for students who are able to engage with others in a creative environment, and who have the foundational skills needed to thrive in a higher education setting.
The Induction Interview is designed to create a relaxed environment where we can get to know each other and plan your next move.

A brief description of your day

This day reflects the way our Music degree programmes are taught at UEL – we study Music by making it, experiencing it, reading, and writing about it. The Induction Interview is designed to reflect the experience on the programme and the ways in which you will engage with music and other students throughout your studies.

You will visit our purpose built Music space at University Square Stratford and participate in practical workshop sessions involving music making, studio work, and listening skills.

Popular Music instruments, Music Software and Studio equipment will be available and you are also welcome to bring your own instrument or electronic equipment.

You will then have the chance to take part in a discussion and we’ll ask you to participate in a short writing reflection exercise.

Following the Programme workshops, you will have a short individual interview where you can tell us about your musical ambitions and why you would like to study with us and you’ll be able to ask us questions about the programme. If you haven't done so already you may want to familiarise yourself with the overview and aims of the BA (Hons) Music Performance & Production Programme and the BA (Hons) Music Technology courses.

We look forward to meeting you!
