GRADUATING CLASS OF 2020 - VIRTUAL CELEBRATION

The virtual celebration will take place on Wednesday 9th September 2-3pm, held on Teams Live.

Please note that this virtual celebration is a supplementary activity and not a replacement for your physical graduation.



Virtual afterparty 

Following the main celebration, there will be a virtual afterparty (approximately 3-4pm) where a magician, singer, comedian and DJ will entertain you. The 4 acts will happen simultaneously. You can join them at your leisure, just remember places are on first come first served basis due to limited capacity.
We also suggest to join these sessions with your university email address to avoid any disruption.

 

Room 1 - Harriet Rose, MTV Presenter & International DJ

Harriet Rose is hugely sought after for events, VIP parties and festivals around the world. She has her own stage ‘Harriet’s House Party’ at Smoked and Uncut Festival with special guests including Professor Green, Nick Grimshaw and Rob Da Bank, and last year also played Parklife, Lovebox, Reading and Wireless Festival. Harriet also DJ’s for Liam Payne, having recently supported him at the sold-out KOKO show.


 

Room 2 - Kerri Watt, Singer and Multi-Instrumentalist

Glasgow born Kerri Watt is best known for an unpredictable blend of pop-rock songs that have made her a festival staple, a favourite on BBC Radio 2 and seen her open for Coldplay and collaborate with Embrace. As well as performing some of her chart-topping hits Kerri will also play requests.

 

Room 3 - Parker Magic, Magician

Guy Park aka ‘Parker Magic’ is one of the most on-trend magicians on the scene. Fresh out of the world famous Hamley’s Toy Shop in London, where he was an in-house magician, performing and demonstrating visually stunning close up magic to hundreds of people including A-list celebrities on a daily basis. Expect a unique atmosphere of amazement and fun that will find you asking, “how did he do that?!”.


 

Room 4 - Daliso Chaponda, Comedian, Writer and Antisocial Commentator

Britain’s Got Talent Finalist Daliso Chaponda, began his comedy career in Canada with the acclaimed one man show ‘Feed This Black Man’. Following this, he began honing his craft in comedy clubs across the country. He regularly appears in comedy clubs and theatres around the world. He has been part of the Melbourne, Edinburgh, Singapore, Cape Town, and Montreal Festivals.



Alumni session (4-5pm)

The Alumni team will be on hand to chat with you about how the University can support you after you have graduated as part of our lifetime commitment to our students.
