The closing dates for adding gowning and photography to your online order on Marston Events' website are as follows:
Gowning deadline: Sunday 4 January at 23:59
Photography deadline: Wednesday 7 January at 23:59 

Students can be given a full refund for their gown up to five working days before the start of the ceremony period. After this point and after the ceremony, we would not offer a refund on gowns as we have still made the gown up and taken it to the event.

For photography packages, students can request a full refund if requested before the event. If we are notified after the ceremony or students have attended the studios, a £10 admin fee would apply to the refund due.

Gown hire on Marston Events

When registering on the Marston Events website, you will be able to see the costs for gown hire and purchase.

• Hire options: The hire prices (for both day hire and extended hire) are shown automatically when you select your gown.
• Purchase option: If you choose to purchase your gown instead of hiring it, the purchase price will appear as an additional cost on top of the hire fee.

Now, you also have the option to purchase a graduation cap as a keepsake. All academic dress hires include a gown, hood, and cap as standard – you do not need to buy a graduation cap separately if you do not wish to keep one.

Below are the prices for the gown hire for each of the different awards.

• Undergraduate (Bachelor/Foundation/Undergraduate Certificate/Undergraduate Diploma)
  • Pre-order hire price: £42
  • On the day hire price (including £10 surcharge): £52.
  • Purchase price (excluding Post &Packaging costs): £195.
• Postgraduate (Master/Postgraduate Certificate/Postgraduate Diploma)
  • Pre-order hire price: £45
  • On the day hire price (Including £10 surcharge): £55.
  • Purchase price (excluding Post &Packaging costs): £205.
• Doctorate/ PhD
  • Pre-order hire price: £50
  • On the day hire price (Including £10 surcharge): £60.
  • Purchase price (excluding Post &Packaging costs): £650.

Extended Hire is the same across all awards: £35 (which includes a freepost envelope to return the gown to Marston Events).

All Academic Dress include a gown, hood, and graduation cap as standard.
