Graduation

Winter Graduations 2027

The next set of Graduation ceremonies will likely be held the week beginning 11 January 2027. Final dates and times will be released in mid-October 2026 when registration for these ceremonies opens. This webpage will also be updated when the ceremony dates and times have been finalised. If you missed the summer graduation ceremonies and wish to be invited to the next upcoming ceremonies, please inform the Graduation Team by emailing graduation@uel.ac.uk. Make sure to include your UEL student ID number, full name, and course in your email.

All students must receive their final degree award by 31 October 2026 to be eligible to attend the upcoming winter ceremonies. Any students who receive their degree after this date will not be eligible and will be invited to a future ceremony. If you have been granted an extension or have retaken a module or assignment, this may mean you’re likely to receive your award after this deadline and will therefore be automatically deferred to the next graduation ceremonies.

We strongly advise that you check your eligibility carefully before booking any flights (if travelling from abroad), paying for visa applications for yourself or your guests, or making any other travel arrangements. The university cannot be held responsible if it is later confirmed that you are not eligible to attend the graduation ceremony due to not having received your final award.

Please note that certificates are not handed out at the graduation ceremony. These are sent directly to your registered address approximately 12 weeks after your award is conferred.
