Our Fundraising Vision
Our vision is to create an inclusive, innovative, and sustainable environment for our students and community. This vision is intrinsically aligned with the University of East London's Vision 2028 strategy, which aims to be a leading careers-intensive university that is both locally anchored and globally connected.
Alignment with Vision 2028
Expanding Scholarships, Internships, and Bursaries
Vision 2028 emphasises the importance of social mobility and breaking down barriers to education. By expanding our scholarships, internships, and bursaries, we ensure that financial barriers do not hinder our students' educational journeys. This initiative supports Vision 2028’s goal of fostering social equity and empowering students from diverse backgrounds to achieve their potential.

Developing the Stratford Health Campus
One of the pillars of Vision 2028 is to enhance health and well-being. The Stratford Health Campus is a cornerstone of this strategy, aimed at integrating mental and physical health services to address health inequalities in our community. This state-of-the-art facility will support a future-facing health and social care workforce, in line with Vision 2028’s commitment to creating a healthier society.

Hosting the Year of Science and the British Science Festival 2024
Vision 2028 seeks to position UEL as a hub of innovation and research. Hosting the British Science Festival as part of our Year of Science events, with a focus on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), underscores our commitment to scientific excellence and public engagement. This initiative aligns with the vision of fostering a culture of innovation and inclusivity, showcasing UEL as a leader in scientific research and education.

Our Impact and How You Can Help
The University of East London has been a beacon of hope and innovation for over 126 years. We are committed to addressing health and economic inequalities through education, research, and community partnerships.
Civic Duty and Community Engagement
As an anchor institution, UEL deeply understands the challenges facing our local boroughs. We are dedicated to improving health outcomes and providing opportunities for all. Our initiatives, such as the Institute for Connected Communities and the Baby Development Lab, are embedded in our local and global communities to promote evidence-based policies and practices for health and well-being.

Stratford Health Campus
Our new health campus will be a hub for community health, preventive care, and overall well-being. This facility will support a future-facing health and social care workforce, benefiting our local communities. It includes a new community-facing health building, a home for the East London Centre for Early Years & Youth, and a residential building with 650 key worker student bedrooms.

Educational Excellence and Social Justice
We are proud to offer a diverse range of scholarships and support services to our students. By breaking down financial barriers, we empower students to achieve their academic and career goals. Our commitment to social justice ensures that we support talented individuals from all backgrounds, helping them to drive positive change in their communities and beyond.
