Siddharth Rahi
Events Management, 2014
Why did you choose to study at UEL?
Well, I fell in love with the campus when I first saw it on the website. And our business school had a good rating too so it was a win-win. I reached London and it was love at first sight.
What is your one special memory of your time at UEL?
The first time I won the student elections. UEL sports officer and then student Governor trustee.
What have you done since graduating from UEL?
I went back and started my events firm Mint Eventz. I started doing small events here and there and picked up from there. I have my own production team and food catering and specialise in weddings.
What is your current job role? And what does it involve?
I run my company and have a team of 35 people now. I mostly take care of business development, client services and sometimes design.
How did UEL help you get to where you are now?
It helped me grow my confidence and know the real me. It was the first time I stayed away from home and my comfort zone. I cannot explain how it helped me. It changed my life.
What advice would you give your younger self?
To be more concentrated on my assignments because they do help you in the real world. And believing in myself a little more.
What advice would you give to UEL current students preparing to graduate?
Focus on your studies and assignments. Give it your 100% and make the most of it whilst you are there. Because these lovely days are never going to come back. Make it worth it and make everyone proud.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don't know:
I found my love in UEL (East building) freshers' week (2013) and married her in 2018. I don't think I will ever forget about UEL in my ife, it made me what I am today.
If you were to do it all again, would you still choose UEL?
Of course. If I had a choice I would still come in and get another degree.
