Why did you choose to study at UEL?
I chose to study at UEL due to the amount of neurodiversity support and practical help available to students, which is ideal for the growth of students.
What have you done since graduating from UEL?
I have won a ‘£5,000 Female Founders Award’ with a £500k+ business. I am also studying in my final year of my PhD at UEL, whilst working at Oxford and Cambridge.
What is your current job role? And what does it involve?
I am currently an Academic Mentor at Oxford and Cambridge, supporting neurodivergent students in academics and work-life balance. I am also the Director of ‘Mansimble Tea & Estate’.
How did UEL help you get to where you are now?
The Enterprise Hub helped to nurture my company ‘Mansimble Tea and Estate’, whilst the career support helped to pave my path into Oxford and Cambridge.
What advice would you give your younger self?
It is important to build a strong network for future opportunities. Remember to prioritise your work-life balance to benefit your long-term well-being and do not be afraid to take risks in entrepreneurship.
What advice would you give to UEL current students preparing to graduate?
Engage in ALL the support at UEL; it's abundant and valuable. Seek mentorship, network, and use resources to maximise your post-graduation opportunities and success. It is important to try to engage in the support provided by UEL, such as mentorships and networking opportunities.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know:
It is not widely known that I am autistic or that I am a published writer. I am also a trained classical pianist.
If you were to do it all again, would you still choose UEL?
I would definitely choose UEL as they provided me with so much support which helped me to get to where I am today.
