Why did you choose to study at UEL?
The MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology programme is the first of its kind to combine positive psychology and coaching psychology and an opportunity for distance education.
What is your one special memory of your time at UEL?
My network expanded in a meaningful way with new professional contacts with fellow coaches, researchers, and faculty as well as forming new friendships with fellow students from around the globe.
What have you done since graduating from UEL?
I launched the Institute of Positive Psychology Coaching (IPPC). It offers certification and training in applied positive psychology coaching to coaches, practitioners, leaders and professionals. You can visit my website.
What is your current job role? And what does it involve?
I am the founder and CEO of the Institute of Positive Psychology Coaching. I provide overall leadership and vision, and manage operations and major decisions.
How did UEL help you get to where you are now?
The UEL was instrumental in my creating the Institute of Positive Psychology Coaching (IPPC). The MAPPCP programme was the catalyst for my vision and training as a professional coach. I am grateful.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Be patient and kind to yourself. Believe in the power of your dreams and the ability to make them a reality. Success is not a straight line. It is a series of twists and turns. Stay focused.
What advice would you give to UEL current students preparing to graduate?
Have a plan in place in advance of graduating (preferably a year) with a clear goal. Then work on that plan and seek help from a coach, mentor, UEL student services, etc.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know:
I once represented myself as my own literary agent when I could not find one to publish my book. So, I became a literary agent too.
If you were to do it all again, would you still choose UEL?
Absolutely I would still choose the UEL and MAPPCP programme!
