Royal Docks Innovation and Enterprise Summer Festival
This free, family-friendly festival is your chance to experience the energy, talent and ambition that make UEL so special. As one of the biggest events of the year on campus, it’s not to be missed – and for the second year running, it celebrates our Year of Health theme.
What to expect
From interactive exhibits and hands-on activities to live performances and inspiring ideas, the festival showcases the innovation and enterprise shaping the future of east London. Don’t miss our showstopper performance – a live aerial piano performance in Docklands Square.
You can explore contributions from UEL’s Schools and Services, meet the people behind the work, and discover how great ideas are brought to life. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit our UCAS Fair, Stratford Redevelopment Exhibition, and an International Conference on AI and Sustainability Advances, alongside much more.

Emotional Intelligence and Resilience - Pathway to Success
When and where: Ground floor of the Royal Docks Centre for Sustainability, 13:30 to 14:15
Join Multi-Award-Winning Mile Rainbow CIC (MR.CIC) – Emotional Vaccine (EV) for an interactive taster session exploring practical ways to build emotional resilience and manage stress before it escalates into burnout or mental health difficulties.
Like a physical vaccine helps strengthen the body, our EV aims to strengthen emotional resilience and coping skills for everyday life.
It Belongs To Us
You are invited to join the community collaborative hands-on workshop ‘It Belongs to Us’ – hosted in partnership with Art in the Docks and as part of the London Festival of Architecture. The workshop will take place on the ground for of the Royal Docks Centre for Sustainability, and you can stay for as long or as little as you like. No prior skills or knowledge needed.
Open to all, the workshop encourages intergenerational dialogue, combining youthful imagination with lived experience to explore community identity, collective ownership, and the future of local places.
RadioActive 2.0 – Make your own health radio or podcast item
You will be joined by Dr Patrick Evans who will be facilitating the creation of radio or podcast items at the radio and podcast studio facility (WB.G.05) in West Building.
Participants should bring their own health themes and ideas to the workshop, where you'll gain hands-on experience of creating a short piece of content. It is recommended to bring along any materials that may be useful for this such as text, audio clips or music. We will also be attempting to broadcast live via the newly established RadioActive 2.0 internet radio platform accessible at radioactives.org.
Please meet at the registration desk in the East Building atrium at 11.45 or 13.45 where you will be guided to the podcast studio for this session.
