Clearing 2026 timeline
2 July - Clearing opens
Clearing opens on 2 July 2026, when universities begin publishing courses that still have available places.
Already have your results? You can apply online now, or call our Clearing hotline to speak with our friendly Clearing advisers.
13 August - A Level results day
Thursday 13 August 2026 is A Level results day. On this day, you’ll find out whether you’ve met the conditions of your offers. If you haven’t, or if you’ve changed your plans, you can apply through Clearing from this point.

When is the best time to contact UEL through Clearing?
You can contact UEL throughout the Clearing period using the opening times listed above. We recommend getting in touch as early as possible, particularly on A-level Results Day, as this is often our busiest time and course availability can change quickly.
What do I need before calling UEL Clearing?
Before you contact us, it's helpful to have your exam results, UCAS ID (if you have one), and details of the course you're interested in. Having this information ready will help our advisers support you more efficiently.
Can I apply through Clearing if I haven't received the grades I expected?
Yes. Clearing is available to a wide range of students, including those who didn't achieve their expected grades, are applying after 30 June, or have changed their plans. Our team can discuss your options and help you find a suitable course.
Can I apply through Clearing after results day?
Yes. If places are still available on your chosen course, you can apply through Clearing after Results Day and up until the end of September. However, we recommend applying as soon as you receive your results to give yourself the best chance of securing a place.
