OVERVIEW
Dr Rula Alousi is a Senior Lecturer in Business Management at the University of East London, Principal Fellow of Advance HE (PFHEA), and Founder, CEO, and Principal of RA British Global Academy. Holding a Doctor of Education (EdD), her academic career spans senior leadership roles in higher education, transnational education (TNE), and quality assurance.
Her research investigates higher education recovery in post-conflict settings, focusing on the mitigation of educide and institutional reconstruction. A key area of her scholarly work centers on pedagogical innovation and curriculum transformation, where she developed the proprietary DRED framework (Define, Reference, Examples, Discuss) to enhance academic writing standards and the RISE framework for curriculum decolonisation and institutional equity. She is a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE), Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS), and Member of the IEEE (MIEEE).
