CURRENT RESEARCH
Research and Impact
It is intended that my research makes a significant contribution to the world of academia and small business development/small business management practice by adding to existing knowledge and by contributing to the discourse in the area of availability of finance for small business start-ups and development in Nigeria. In the provision of innovative response to the perpetuating constraining issue of ‘access to reasonable cost finance’ with which both would-be small business proprietors and existing growth-seeking small enterprise owner-managers struggle to contend. The proposition of the resolution of the small business financing constraint requires creativity and innovation in both the unfolding of a holistic understanding of the issue and its multi-dimensions, and creative interpretation of the emerging holistic picture to facilitate the development of an innovative approach to small business funding which embraces the cooperative and collaborative ‘partnership working’ of all stakeholders to the dilemma.
