Dr Nisha Prakash is an academic with over 16 years of experience spanning both industry and teaching. She is passionate about raising responsible business leaders. Her research interests are sustainable finance, corporate social responsibility, and social enterprises.

OVERVIEW
Dr Nisha Prakash is an academic with over 16 years of work experience spanning both industry and teaching. Prior to academia, she worked with reputed consultancy firms such as Deloitte Touche and Tohmatsu, KPMG and Hewlett-Packard for 10 years. She transitioned to academia because of her passion for teaching and research. Though her expertise is in financial management, she also enjoys teaching statistics, econometrics, and microeconomics.
Her research interests are in the business aspects on sustainability and climate change. She is particularly fascinated by financing sustainable projects, economies of social enterprises, corporate social responsibility, and integrating sustainability into the management curriculum. Her doctoral thesis titled “An empirical investigation of determinants influencing climate finance flows” where she tried to understand the factors influencing climate finance flows.
She truly believes that building responsible business leaders is the first step toward building sustainable enterprises. It will also assist in making the next generation(s) responsible in their consumption decisions. Dr Nisha is currently exploring opportunities for funded research in areas of sustainability.
