In 1998, Mitra embarked on her teaching journey, which later flourished at the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) in Malaysia. Her transition to a full-time lecturer occurred in 2014 upon completing her PhD in Financial Economics. Recognised for her exceptional performance in education, leadership, research, and citizenship, Mitra was promoted to Senior lecturer in 2016. Her proficiency spans various domains including educational leadership, curriculum development, student planning, and faculty development, augmented by her active involvement in module and programme development processes. Since 2014, Mitra has adeptly taught and led over 20 modules within her areas of expertise, catering to students across BSc, MSc, MBA, and DBA programmes.
She has strong interdisciplinary skills with a diverse and extensive background in science and art leading to a highly creative and innovative approach in teaching, research, leadership, and problem-solving. Her mentorship extends beyond the classroom, having completed supervision of more than 50 master's and 2 Ph.D. dissertations, with ongoing supervision of 3 PhD students in the Fintech field at UEL.

OVERVIEW
Throughout Dr Saeedi's career, she has held different leadership roles, serving as a module leader, programme leader, and project leader. Presently, she is the Education and Experience Lead for the Business Management, Entrepreneurship, and Finance Department at UEL. Mitra has extensive data reporting, interpretation, and analysis expertise, essential for driving financial solutions in dynamic environments. Additionally, she is proficient in econometric modelling using econometric software, such as Eviews and Stata.
CURRENT RESEARCH
Mitra started her research activities in 2000 in the domain of Art studies. She was engaged in joint research collaboration with different research centres. However, starting her MBA in Finance was a turning point in her career and research area; her interest in the research domains in finance, especially financial modelling, financial economics, and financial mathematics, motivated her to do a doctoral programme at the University Putra Malaysia where she got equipped with various research tools and excelled her understanding of the research fundamentals. Since 2014, as an academic, Mitra has been constantly involved in finance and economics research activities.
Her research efforts have focused on financial economics, corporate finance, portfolio management and risk management, applying various financial econometric techniques and statistical methods. However, motivated by disrupting technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain, her current research has been more focused on the impact of these technologies on Economics and Finance.
