Hattie Crowther is a UK-based designer specialising in non-binary clothing. Crowther uses her own northern upbringing and friends as inspiration for her collections; she tells stories through her subconscious energies and passions: rage, anger, fear, drawing from life experience to produce wildly exaggerated garments that defy normal preconceptions. Using historical British references through cut and shape colliding with tailoring and sportswear references creating a hybrid of garment archetypes for day to nightwear.
Crowther rebuffs the world of wasteful and endlessly repetitive product design which commercialises subcultures to create novelty. The brand's ethos is built on manufacturing in England and supporting the sustainable movement through upcycling, deadstock fabrications and local sourcing.
Crowther's aim is working towards a socially sustainable business model based on collaboration and shared values, creating one off pieces that stand the test of time through make and trend, the ideal fusion of chaos and technique, creativity and refinement. Crowther aims to create a working environment that encourages artistic development and exploration within fashion and UK creative fields.
