Dr Gratien David Pillai is a Senior Lecturer at the Business, Entrepreneurship, and Finance Department, where he teaches and supervises both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

OVERVIEW
I have over 20 years of teaching experience in the UK and International HE environment having taught Management, Organisational Behaviour and HRM modules at Warwick, Birmingham and Coventry Universities in the UK and Assumption University and SIBA International Programme, Bangkok before joining the University of East London as a Senior Lecturer in 2022.
In addition to teaching, I held senior management roles at the SIBA International Programme, where I helped to set up an international programme in collaboration with leading universities in the UK and Australia. I am currently the Module Leader for Sustainability and Transformational Leadership and Project Consultancy modules. I also lecture in the following postgraduate and undergraduate modules: Management, OB and HRM.
In addition to my teaching and research responsibilities, I am also the Director of the Business Advice Centre, which is student-led but supervised by business professionals with many years of experience in their field. Our community-focused initiative provides our students with practical and on-the-job experience, that provides a service at no cost to the East London business community.
CURRENT RESEARCH
I am interested in research on Work-Life Balance, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), Quiet Quitting and Impact of AI on Human Resource Development.
