OVERVIEW
I have wide experience in education teaching children, teenagers and adults since 1987. I have been an accredited External Adviser for headteacher performance and a teacher Threshold Assessor. I have been a Local Authority Lead for the National Programme for Specialist Leaders in Behaviour & Attendance. I joined University of East London in 2013.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Humanities, an MA in Education, a PGCE (QTS). My PhD thesis was “Speaking Freely & Frankly in a School Context: A Foucauldian Approach to schooling”. Other qualifications consist of an Advanced Diploma in Educational Management, Diplomas in Psychology and Religious Studies. I have written and taught many modules for both on campus and eLearning; and contribute lectures across undergraduate & post-graduate programmes.
