Paying for your course
We understand that when you study in another country you are making a big financial investment in your future. We offer a generous package of sponsorships and bursaries to ensure you receive the best value for money.
How we assess your fees
Before you can enrol at UEL, we will need to assess what the right tuition fees are for you, as well as telling you about any sources of funding that might be available.
We may need information about your nationality, immigration status in the UK, where you have been living, and what you were doing for the three years before the start of your course.
Tuition fees and funding sources
You can find out specific information about fees for all types of UEL courses on the ‘Fees and funding’ tab on your regional or country page on our website.
Remember to check your individual course requirements as well.
As a general guide, for the 2015/16 academic year we charge £10,700 per year for an undergraduate (bachelor’s) degree course.
If you plan to study a taught postgraduate course, tuition fees for an MBA are £13,500 and £11,700 for all other master’s degrees.
Saving you money on your fees
You may be able to apply for a scholarship to study with us at the University of East London. Our International Office can advise you about any opportunities in your own country, the UK or in your particular subject area.
If you previously studied at UEL and were awarded a qualification, you are eligible for our Alumni Scholarship, which is worth 15 per cent off your tuition fees for any subsequent courses you take with us.
To apply, you must already hold one of the following qualifications from UEL:
• undergraduate degree
• master’s degree
• professional doctorate degree

These include: the Diploma in Architecture (RIBA Part 2); a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE); the Post Compulsory Education and Training Certificate (PCET); or any short course or courses with credit values of less than 120.
For some courses such as architecture or in the field of healthcare, there are sometimes scholarships or bursaries available. Check the course details on the website to find out whether this applies to you.

Our international pages list funding sources that may be available for you in your country, or you can contact our dedicated representative for each country or region, who will be able to tell you more.
