What is the Business Model Canvas?
The Business Model Canvas is a strategic management tool that allows you to describe, design, challenge, invent, and pivot your business model.
It consists of nine key components that together provide a comprehensive view of the business logic of a company.
The Business Model Canvas helps you to:
- Understand the key elements of your business.
- Identify potential weaknesses and opportunities.
- Communicate your business model clearly to stakeholders.
The 9 components of the Business Model Canvas

Customer Segments | Define the different groups of people or organisations an enterprise aims to reach and serve. |
Cost Structure | Outline the most important costs incurred while operating under a particular business model. |
Revenue Streams | Detail how the company makes money from each customer segment. |
