"Hidden" is a solo exhibition by Vincenzo Muratore, a 2024 MA in Sculpture graduate from the Royal College of Art. Following a residency at the University of East London.

In "Hidden," Muratore explores the layers of the self that are often concealed, both by choice and societal imposition. His work invites viewers to consider what lies beneath the surface of our daily lives—those stratified experiences and emotions that define who we are. Drawing on science, psychology, and spirituality, Muratore’s sculptures, performances, and installations interrogate dominant cultural narratives and the psychological traumas they inflict, particularly within patriarchal frameworks.

The exhibition features a series of sculptures crafted from natural materials like marble, where the human figure undergoes geometric and architectural metamorphosis. These works create hidden spaces—cocoons of self-protection and concealment—prompting viewers to contemplate the architecture of their own identities. Installations emphasize the fragmentation of personal and collective identity, exploring how words and societal rituals influence mental health and psychological growth.

Muratore’s performances amplify these themes, creating a dialogue between burial and discovery, abandonment and curiosity. These ritualistic acts, both conscious and unconscious, reflect the complexities of societal interaction and the often hidden layers of human experience.
