About celebrity host Reece Parkinson
Reece Parkinson graduated from the University of East London’s media and communications course in 2015. He chose the university as he knew creating connections in the capital (London) was key to breaking into the media industry. After honing his presenting skills at youth station Reprezent and various daytime 1Xtra shows, he became the host of BBC 1Xtra.
Aside from the entertainment-based broadcasts, at his time at BBC Radio he has hosted a range of meaningful conscious content. From the 25th anniversary of Steven Lawrence, the future of Feminism as well as the George Floyd "1Xtra Talks" special.
He has also DJ'd at multiple festivals including Reading & Leeds, Ibiza Rocks, Wireless.

At the same our Student Money Advice and Rights Team will be providing information on fees and funding.
Subject talks during this session will include Allied Health, Computing, Creative Writing, Dance, Early Childhood and Education, Engineering, Film & Animation, Media Medical Sciences and Social and Community Work.
