About the course
This 13 to 18 month Apprenticeship (including the End Point Assessment (EPA) and subject to employment contract terms and conditions) is a mixed delivery model and involves working in a school setting for the age range specified in the Qualified Teacher Standards (QTS). UEL’s delivery site is based at our Stratford campus, and part of the scheme is carried out in the workplace and online as blended learning.
Entry requirements: Potential apprentices will need to be employed in the field of study (see occupational profile) and have GCSE English and mathematics at grade A to C, or grade 4 to 9, or equivalent Functional Skills at Level 2. You will have attained a relevant degree accepted by your employer to teach within the school environment. Primary school setting teachers also require a GCSE grade A to C or 4 to 9 in Science.
Fees per apprentice for whole duration (paid on a monthly basis and is an estimate):
Levy employer: £9,000
Non-levy employer: please email email@example.com or call 020 8223 2471 for more information. The apprentice will not be required to pay any fees.
Schools and academies embarking on the apprenticeship scheme may be eligible for bursaries which they can use towards apprentice wages. For more information see getintoteaching.education.gov.uk.
Progression: on completion, full-time employment and additional CPD as required.
How to get involved
We aim to be flexible in our approach and discuss with each
employer the delivery strategy that best meets their business requirements and
those of their apprentices.
The Higher and degree apprenticeship programs at UEL have been created with employers for employers. Contact us if
