This page is for parents, trusted contacts, and third-party professionals (for example, GPs, Social Services, Mental Health Mentors) who would like to report concerns about a University of East London student to our Student Services teams.
Reporting an emergency concern
In the event of an emergency, please first contact the relevant emergency services below:

Report a wellbeing concern
If you would like to report a wellbeing concern, please contact our Student Wellbeing Service. If you need to speak to someone out-of-hours, please call emergency services, or access the out-of-hours wellbeing support lines.

If your concern relates to a student living in UEL accommodation, please contact the Residential Life Team.
The Residential Life Office is open seven days a week from 9 am to 5 pm, excluding bank holidays.

Safeguarding concerns
If you need to raise a Safeguarding Concern related to a child, a young person under 18, or an adult at risk, email: safeguarding@uel.ac.uk
This mailbox is monitored Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm and reports are sent directly to UEL’s Safeguarding Leads.
General health concerns
If you are concerned about your own health or someone else’s symptoms, use the NHS 111 symptom checker to find out what to do next and speak to a healthcare professional.
Reporting an incident
If you would like to report an incident that has occurred on campus, please visit UEL Report and Support , where you can:
- Report anonymously.
- Request support from an advisor.
- Access information about behavioural misconduct.
