Chaplaincy
Our University is proud of its vibrant and diverse multicultural community and recognises the importance that spirituality, faith, and belief play in the lives of many of our students. The multi-faith Chaplaincy is a place where students from all faiths and none can find support in exploring and celebrating their faith or beliefs. We work to provide spaces and events that offer places for prayer and reflection and which foster mutual respect and learning amongst people of different faith traditions and beliefs.
We have regular informal drop-in sessions for people come together. We facilitate discussion groups and we are also able to offer specific spiritual and religious support and guidance if requested. We can assist in linking students with a faith representative from their own tradition and help connect them with faith communities based in their local areas.
Chaplains are also available to meet up with students individually and offer a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space in which to talk and explore any issues of importance, whether faith-related or not.
If you would like to find out more please contact the Chaplaincy Manager, Revd Dr James Grenfell. The Students' Union also has a number of faith societies which you may be interested in. View our societies on the Students' Union website.
