Interview for Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in Integrative Counselling and Coaching

Thank you for applying to the Postgraduate Diploma or Master of Science in Integrative Counselling and Coaching at the University of East London. Entry to this programme depends on successfully completing the interview. 

Due to high demand, it may not be possible to reschedule if you cannot attend your chosen date.

Interview FAQs

Confirming your interview

  • We will offer three interview dates.
  • Log in to the Applicant Portal to select the date that suits you.
  • If you later discover you cannot attend, tell us as soon as possible. We will try to offer an alternative date, but this cannot be guaranteed.

How should I prepare for my interview?

Be ready to talk about: 

  • Your motivations for choosing this course.
  • Why are you a strong candidate for study in this field
  • Any questions you want to ask us

You do not need to bring documents or materials to the interview unless you are told otherwise.

Where will my interview take place?

  • All interviews take place in person at UEL’s Stratford Campus, London.
  • Report to the main reception in the Computer and Conference Centre building upon arrival.

What does interview process involve?

Your interview consists of three parts: 

  • A group Q&A session with members of the academic team.
  • Two individual interviews (about 15 minutes each) with teaching staff.

In your individual interviews, we focus on: 

  • Your strengths
  • Your current understanding of the course subject
  • Your relevant experience 

This is also your opportunity to learn more about the programme.

Who will be conducting the interview?

You will be interviewed by teaching staff from the programme.

How will I know if I have been successful in my application?

  • Offers are only issued after all interviews are complete.
  • You will be notified via the contact details on your application once decisions are finalised.
