Integrative Counselling and Coaching Interview Information
Thank you for applying for the Postgraduate Diploma / Masters of Science in Integrative Counselling and Coaching at UEL. Admission onto the course is subject to successfully passing the interview process, so please read the following information carefully.
Due to the high competition for places, if you are unable to attend your interview, it may not be possible for us to reschedule.
Confirming your interview
We will offer a choice of three dates for you to select the most suitable. To choose your date please log on to Applicant Portal. If later it appears that you are unable to attend on the day please let us know as far in advance as possible. We will try to offer an alternative but please be aware, owing to the large number of applications we receive, this may not always be possible.
How should I prepare for my interview?
Please come prepared to talk about yourself, why you are interested in this particular course and specifically what makes you a good candidate to study with us. Please also think about any questions you would like to ask us. You are not required to bring anything in addition.
Where will my interview take place?
Interviews will take place face to face at our Stratford campus. Please report to main reception in the Computer and Conference Centre building when you arrive.
What does interview process involve?
The interview will be a chance for us to find out more about you and vice versa.
The first part of the interview process will be a group Q&A with academic tutors for you to ask any further information you would like to know about the programme. Following the group session, there will be two short interviews (about 15min each), where you will be seen individually by two members of staff from the programme.
During your individual interview, we would like to see you at your best, so the questions will focus on your strengths, current understanding of the course subject matter and relevant experiences.
Have a look at the University of East London website to find out more about this specific programme. Another useful website which gives you information about counselling training is that of our accrediting body: British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Who will be conducting the interview?
You will be interviewed by teaching staff from the programme.
How will I know if I have been successful in my application?
Please note that offers will be sent to applicants only once all interviews have taken place.
