FAQs
How will the interview take place?
Your interview will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams.
Please download the Microsoft Teams app in advance. Admissions will send you a link for your online interview approximately four working days before your interview date.
The interview will be conducted by a member of the Podiatry teaching team.
What do I need to prepare?
Before the interview, you should:
- read the NHS constitution, making sure you focus on the principles and values.
- think about how to demonstrate a good understanding of podiatry as a career
- think about why you would make a good podiatrist.
What will happen on the day?
On the day of your interview:
- You will need to provide photo identification, such as a passport, before the interview can begin.
- The interview panel will ask you a number of questions.
- You will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the course and studying at UEL.
Immediately after the interview:
- You will complete a short maths test.
- The test will be sent to you as a Word document.
- You must complete the test in the document provided and return it by email within 30 minutes.
Is there a post interview task?
Yes. After your interview, you must complete a short written reflection of no more than 250 words.
You must:
- submit the reflection by email to your interviewer
- use the email address provided during your interview
- submit it within 24 hours of your interview
You may wish to reflect on:
- How you thought the interview went
- How you may have been perceived or
- Anything you would add or change.

Once you have returned the written reflection, please email any further questions to the podiatry admissions tutor.
What about fees and accommodation?
Fees and funding
This course is funded by the NHS Learning Support Fund, which currently provides up to £6,000 towards your fees. You must apply for this funding independently.
Most students can also apply for a tuition fee loan from Student Finance England. If you have previously studied at a degree level, you are unlikely to be eligible for further loans.

Can I visit UEL in person?
Yes, you can attend one of our Open Events, where you can meet staff and students, explore our facilities and accommodation and find out what it’s really like to study at the University of East London.
