Online interview information for BSc Physiotherapy
Online interview information for BSc Physiotherapy
Thank you for booking an online interview for BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy at the University of East London.
How will the interview take place?
Your online interview will be conducted via Microsoft Teams. Please download the Microsoft Teams App as Admissions will send you a link for your online interview booking. You will receive this approximately four working days before your interview date. You will be interviewed by a member of the physiotherapy teaching team.
What do I need to prepare?
Prior to the interview please read the NHS constitution.
Make sure you focus on the principles and values.
What do I need to do prior to my interview?
This year, our programmes are trialling an online means of assessing candidates for selection.
We are requiring all applicants to undertake the online task, concerning judgement in complex situations. Please complete this test prior to your interview.
You can access the test from the link below.
http://sgiz.mobi/s3/fef2faa92315
On the first page, you will be asked for some biographical details.
Then, there is a page of instructions for you to read carefully before you begin the test.
You can only access the link once, so make sure that you are ready to take the test before clinking on the link.
The test should take no more than 30 minutes to complete, and most people finish it in less time.
Try to do this on a PC with a stable internet connection (not on a touchscreen-only tablet or mobile phone).
Make sure that you take the test alone and that the answers you give are your own.
You cannot save the test partially completed and return later, so:
- make sure you have the time to complete the test in one sitting,
- avoid working in a noisy or disruptive environment, and
- switch off your phone, and limit other potential distractions.
You must complete each question to go on to the next.
You cannot return to an item to change your answers after you have completed it.
You may take a short break while completing the test but do not exit the website or your browser until finished.
Do not start the test and leave the webpage open for more than 30 minutes - the test may close and deny you access.
If you cannot complete the test (e.g., your computer/internet fails) email physiotherapyadmissions@uel.ac.uk.
What will happen on the day?
On the day of the interview, you will need to provide photo ID such as a passport before the interview can commence.
We will ask you a number of questions and you will have an opportunity to ask any questions you have about the course and studying here at UEL.
Post interview task
After your interview you will be asked to complete a short reflection of the interview (no more than 250 words), this needs to be submitted via email to your interviewer. You will be provided with their email address at your interview.
This must be completed within 24 hours of your interview.
You may wish to reflect on:
- How you thought the interview went
- How you may have been perceived or
- Anything you would add or change.
Where should I address any request?
Once you have returned the written reflection any future queries should be emailed to Physiotherapy Admissions, physiotherapyadmissions@uel.ac.uk.
What about fees and accommodation?
This course is not funded by the NHS. Successful applicants will be liable for all tuition fees. For most students, this would be via a successful application for a loan from Student Finance England. Please note that if you have already studied at degree level you are unlikely to receive any further loans from Student Finance England. You should visit the government website for detailed information regarding student finance.
UEL’' student accommodation is the Docklands Student Village, situated at the Docklands Campus. Please visit the accommodation website for more information on eligibility and availability of accommodation.
