Accessibility Information
The University of East London is committed to providing an accessible and welcoming environment for students and staff with disabilities.
We have held the Positive about Disabled People status since 2003, and our Regional Access Centre was highly commended in its most recent national review.
We know that accessibility is an important factor when choosing a university. That’s why we provide clear, detailed information about our campuses so you can decide whether UEL meets your specific needs.
We work with AccessAble to publish detailed access guides for every building across our three campuses. Explore the access guides for each campus below:
Accessibility FAQs
Do I need to have a confirmed diagnosis to get support at UEL?
No. You do not need a confirmed diagnosis to talk to us about your needs. If you have a disability, long-term health condition, mental health condition, or specific learning difference, you can still discuss support options.
When should I tell UEL about my access needs?
You can tell us at any stage - when you apply, after you receive an offer, or once you enrol. Letting us know earlier helps us plan support for the start of your course, but it is always your choice.
Is accessibility support available on all UEL courses?
We aim to make all courses as accessible as possible. Reasonable adjustments are based on your individual needs and the requirements of your course. Any course-specific or placement requirements will be discussed with you.
