Location
The University of East London has three campuses, one located in Docklands and two located in Stratford.
Our waterfront campus in the historic Royal Docks provides a modern, well-equipped learning environment, with lecture theatres and seminar rooms, a 24/7 library and learning centre, and a multimedia production centre - complete with audio and visual labs and studios.
Our historic Stratford campus is located in one of the best-connected areas of London: close to Stratford's thriving town centre, Westfield Stratford City, and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Our close proximity to the Elizabeth Line means you can be in central London in under 20 minutes.
University Square Stratford (USS) is one of London's most modern and well-equipped campuses. It is home to our Institute of Performing Arts, our arts venue The Source, and our business, law, and criminology courses.
Range of course modules
Our courses offer a diverse range of modules designed to cater to various interests and career aspirations. Each programme includes core modules that provide essential knowledge and skills in the subject area, ensuring a strong foundation. In addition to these, you have the flexibility to choose from a selection of optional modules, allowing you to tailor your studies to suit your career goals. Social life
As a University of East London student, you'll have access to more than 90 clubs and societies, one of the best gyms in London, two student hubs, a variety of cafes and restaurants, a community garden, an on-site nursery, our student bar and a lively programme of on and off-campus entertainment events.

Part time employment
At UEL, we have lots of part-time employment options that allow you to work while you study. One way in which you can do this is by becoming a Student Ambassador and supporting events like Open Days. This flexible, zero-hour contract fits around your studies and enhances your career experience. Duties include working with secondary school pupils, representing UEL at fairs and events, running Campus Tours, and assisting with social media and marketing.

Sports facilities
Voted the most ambitious and the most improved university in the UK for sport, we pride ourselves on being able to provide a wide-ranging programme of sporting, health and fitness opportunities for staff, students and the wider community.
In 2010, the University of East London was ranked 124th in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) league – the National Governing Body for University Sport. With only a handful of teams and no medallists, East London Sport was created. Since then, we have won the BUCS Most Improved University for Sports and increased our ranking each year in the BUCS tables. We’ve also helped support many Olympians and Paralympians, 34 teams across a wide range of sports and 500+ active students.
