Why continue with postgraduate study at UEL?

Up to 25 per cent alumni discount

You may be eligible for a Postgraduate Alumni Scholarship, which offers up to a 25 per cent discount on your postgraduate tuition fees, depending on your grades. You may also take out a postgraduate loan of up to £10,000 to support your studies. Further information can be found on our postgraduate scholarships and bursaries page.

Earn an extra £5.5k with a Master's degree

Postgraduates typically earn £200,000 more over their working life, averaging an extra £5,500 each year (Sutton Trust). An additional degree gives you a real advantage in the job market and helps you get the roles that might otherwise be out of reach.

Funding your postgraduate study

There are several ways you can get support funding your postgraduate degree, including loans and scholarships. 

University of East London undergraduate alumni can apply for scholarships to get up to 50% off fees.

Do I need to submit a new application for postgraduate study?

Yes. Even if you studied at UEL as an undergraduate, you’ll need to complete a new postgraduate application through our online application portal.

Do UEL graduates get any advantages or discounts when applying for postgraduate courses?

Yes. UEL alumni are eligible for the Postgraduate Alumni Scholarship, which offers up to 25 per cent reduction in postgraduate tuition fees (terms and conditions apply).

When should I apply for postgraduate study at UEL?

Applications typically open several months before each intake. We recommend applying as early as possible, ideally 3–6 months before your intended start date, to secure your place and arrange funding.

Are there any postgraduate scholarships available for UEL graduates?

Yes. In addition to the Postgraduate Alumni Scholarship, UEL offers various postgraduate scholarships and bursaries.

Can I switch to a different field for my postgraduate studies?
