Apprenticeship FAQs
How does this apprenticeship fit around full-time work?
You will study alongside your job, typically through one day of learning each week, combined with block teaching sessions. This structure allows you to apply what you learn directly in your workplace while continuing in full-time employment.
What kind of roles does this apprenticeship lead to?
This apprenticeship prepares you for senior technical and leadership roles such as digital transformation lead, solutions architect, cybersecurity specialist, or data analytics lead, depending on your chosen specialism.
How do I choose the right specialism?
Your specialism should align with your current role and career goals. For example, data analytics focuses on interpreting and using data to inform decisions, while cybersecurity focuses on protecting systems and managing risk. Your employer and course team will support you in selecting the most suitable pathway.
What support will I receive during the apprenticeship?
You will be supported by academic staff with industry experience, as well as workplace mentors. This ensures you can balance your job, studies, and professional development throughout the programme.
What is the end-point assessment and how does it work?
The end-point assessment takes place at the end of the apprenticeship and evaluates your overall knowledge, skills, and behaviours. It typically involves a work-based project and assessment activities that reflect real professional practice.
