Interview Information for Occupational and Organisational Psychology and Business Psychology MSc

Thank you for applying for the MSc Occupational and Organisational Psychology / Business Psychology at the University of East London. 

Admission to the course is subject to successfully passing the interview process. The information below explains what to expect.

Confirming your interview

We will offer you a choice of three dates and time slots. To select the most suitable option, reply to the interview invitation sent to your email. 

If you later find that you cannot attend on your chosen date, please let us know as soon as possible. We will try to offer an alternative, but this may not always be possible due to the high number of applications we receive.

How should I prepare for my interview?

Please be ready to talk about: 

  • Yourself and your background
  • Why you are interested in this course
  • What makes you a strong candidate to study at UEL 

You should also prepare any questions you would like to ask the interview panel. You do not need to bring anything additional to the interview.

Where does my interview take place?

We offer both online and in-person interviews. 
 

Online interviews take place using Microsoft Teams.

In-person interviews take place at the School of Psychology, UEL Stratford campus. The address is:

Report to the main entrance reception desk in the Conference and Computing Centre. A member of staff will collect you from there. Directions to the University can be found on our  Find us page.

What does the interview process involve?

The interview is an opportunity for you and the course team to learn more about each other. 

Each interview lasts approximately 30 minutes. 

During this time, we will ask questions about: 

  • Your strengths
  • Your current understanding of the course subject area
  • Your relevant experience 

You will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the course. Before the interview, we recommend reviewing the relevant course information on our website, as many common questions are answered there.

Who will be conducting the interview?

You will be interviewed by a member of the teaching staff from our programme.

How will I know if I have been successful in my application?

We will post the outcome of your interview on the Applicant Portal. 

You will also receive an email notification within seven working days of your interview date.
