What is the MSc Sustainable Energy Engineering SIEMENS Scholarship?
The SIEMENS Scholarship aims to actively widen participation in higher education, providing financial support and access opportunities to home fee-paying students who wish to study for the MSc in Sustainable Energy Engineering. This initiative reflects UEL’s unwavering commitment to social mobility, diversity, and inclusion. By reducing financial barriers, the scholarship empowers students from disadvantaged backgrounds to fully engage in their studies, pursue internships, and collaborate with industry leaders. This approach ensures students gain career-relevant skills, achieve academic success, and contribute to a more equitable society.
Award summary
£12,000 Scholarship towards the cost of the full tuition fee of £11,340 for academic year 2025/6. The remaining balance of £660 will be paid as a bursary in cash to your allocated bank account to help with travel or living costs.
Eligibility summary
Applicants will only be eligible to apply for an award if they meet all the following criteria:
- Starting this course in September 2025
- Studying full-time on campus
- Fee assessed by UEL’s Admissions team as a Home fee paying status
- Students from the following underrepresented groups. You must meet at least one of the below criteria below and are able to prove the same with supporting documents:
- From low-income households facing financial difficulties.
- Are/ Previously lived in care or estranged from their parents.
- Students with disabilities who require financial assistance to continue their education.
How do I apply?
Before starting your application, you must make an application for the MSc Sustainable Energy Engineering course at UEL starting this September 2025. Once you have applied, you will be given a unique Student ID number, which you will need in order to submit a scholarship application.
Application deadline:
Please submit your application by Sunday 29 June 23:55pm. Late applications will not be accepted, therefore please make sure you submit your application prior to the deadline.
Decision outcomes will be communicated to applicants within 6 weeks of the closing date via the same email you registered with.
