Memberships at a glance

- Student off-peak (free) – access during off-peak times.

Student membership
UEL students can access SportsDock through a free off-peak membership option.
- Monday–Friday: 6am–4pm
- Weekends: 9am–8pm
Students can also upgrade to anytime access.
Extra benefit: Students who are SportsDock members can request a BUCS Universal Gym card, giving access to participating university gyms across the UK.
Premium Student Membership
Upgrade to a Premium Student Membership for just £120 per year – that’s only £10 per month.
Access will be through your student card, which you need to bring every time and will need to be synced by reception on your first visit.
East London sport Club membership: £50

Public membership
SportsDock offers memberships for members of the public.
- Gym access
- On-campus exercise classes
- Right to book courts and arenas
- Digital classes through the SportsDock app
12 month contract membership - £35 per month
- 12-month contract with monthly direct debit payments.
- An option to freeze for one month is available for one period during the contract.
- After the contract has finished, you will continue paying £35 on a rolling membership.
Month by month rolling membership - £42 per month
- No contract membership, which gives you the freedom to leave whenever you want (Memberships must be cancelled before the 21st of the month to prevent being charged the subsequent month).
- Membership is paid with a monthly direct debit.
- If you have a 12-month membership, including a Monthly Contract, you may freeze your Membership for 1 period of 1 month. This request needs to be put in writing at least 1 month before the requested start date of the freeze; no payments will be made during this period.
Discounted rate of £32 per month available for corporates, alumni and students. Proof of ID must be shown before the first visit. This discount is not available on the monthly rolling membership.

Fitness targets
SportsDock is here to help you progress your fitness journey. Using qualified fitness instructors and personal trainers, we have three different options to suit all budgets.
Our new refurbished fitness facility has the very latest equipment to help you get the most out of your training. In order for you to understand how to get most out of the equipment, we are holding group inductions to explain them in detail for you. We will be offering you a programme using our new digital fitness training partners and TRAKKS app.
The fitness coaching product is unique to SportsDock. The product included exercise prescription tailored to your goals, sports/exercise testing completed in our Sport Science labs and having one of the fitness team will track your progress using our digital exercise app. It’s a great way to be guided towards your exercise goals and have our experienced fitness professionals overseeing what you are doing!

General FAQs
Are there any parking restrictions?
Our public members are given car park access and a permit, which needs to be displayed at all times. Unfortunately, there is no parking for staff or students.
Can I book a tour?
Yes, you can book a tour of our facilities online.
Do you have exercise classes?
We have over 100 classes across our live and virtual system, all are included in your membership. See our exercise classes.
What courts can I hire?
We have two large arenas with volleyball, basketball, futsal and badminton available. We also have a 7-a-side outdoor football pitch.
What is a BUCS Universal Gym card?
UEL students who are members of SportsDock can ask for a BUCS Universal Gym card, which will give them access to any participating university gyms in the country. A list can be found on the BUCS website..
Contract FAQs
Can I leave the contract?
Once you have joined the contract, you will not be able to cancel this until after the 12 months have been completed.
What happens if I miss a payment whilst in a contract?
You will be asked to repay this before you can re-enter the gym.
Can I freeze my membership?
Yes, you can freeze for 1 month on one occasion during the 12 months.
Is there a joining fee?
No there is no joining fee.
What happens to my payments once I have finished the 12 months?
The payments will automatically transfer to £33 on a month-by-month basis.
