Off campus housing
Off campus housing
Looking for somewhere to live?
Here at UEL, we encourage all students to take advantage of the comfort and community offered by our on-campus accommodation. However, if you choose to live off-site, we offer a range of housing search and advising support that can help you in your search for safe, comfortable and supportive housing throughout the city. We can also help you with any questions or concerns, even after you've found a place to stay.
We are in the process of establishing new collaborations to ensure that students have access to reliable, safe, and high-quality housing options in the surrounding area. Updated information, including verified partners and relevant guidance, will be made available on this page in due course.
Personalised support
Through our Student Services teams and partnerships, you can access one-on-one housing advice.
Citizens Advice Bureau at UEL
The Student Money Advice and Rights Team (SMART), are working in partnership with Citizens Advice to offer specialist advice to UEL students and staff. You can also meet with them regarding housing issues.
On-campus appointments
Citizens Advice will be offering on-campus advice appointments on the first Wednesday of every month at the Docklands campus only. To book an appointment with Citizens Advice, please contact the Hub either in person or by calling +44 20 8223 4444.
Remote advice (via telephone or email)
To self-refer your case to Citizens Advice for remote advice, please email uel@citizensadvicesouthend.org.uk.
You will need to clearly state your name, student number, phone number and topic of advice required within the email content.
