Taekwondo
When joining the Taekwondo club, you can expect to meet like-minded people, join a supportive club culture, and challenge yourself through physical and mental training. No goal is too big or too small, with the guidance of your Taekwondo instructor and senior club members. You can work towards achieving your goals such as improving your strength and flexibility as well as learn practical self-defence skills. You can expect the club to be the constant that you will need during your time studying here and be part of the long legacy of the East London Taekwondo Club.
There are opportunities to compete and represent the university at the BUCS Championships organised and run by the British Student Taekwondo Federation. If you have an entrepreneurial flair, you can join the committee or support the club through fundraising activities, and organising socials or if you are skilled in camera work, editing and storytelling you can share your Taekwondo journey through social media. With consistent training, by the end of your degree course, you can also gain a black belt in Taekwondo where you can leave with two degrees.
