I have been working at UEL since June 2009 developing distance and e-learning programmes and joined Cass in September 2013.
My own initial training was in Fashion Design, during which time I won two national competitions, one for illustration, and one for report writing. I then went on to become Editorial Assistant at the Good Food Guide. There I became fascinated with computer graphics and gradually developed into a freelance graphic designer/copywriter/sub-editor and eventually website designer and builder.
With the new century came a new career when I returned to University to do a PGCE, specialising in Design and Technology. As a teacher my strengths lay in the creative planning of schemes and lessons, and the preparation of engaging tasks and activities for effective learning.
In my spare time I continue to teach adults in arts and crafts, and design and write for publication.
It is this mix of skills that I hope will support and enrich the work of the team here at the Cass School of Education and Communities.
