Elley joined UEL as a lecturer in 2015, having completed her PhD in Psychology (Electrophysiological Correlates of Processing Unattended Objects in Visual Cognition) here. Previously completing her Graduate Diploma in Psychology also at UEL, converting from Physics (M.Phys at the University of Manchester and PhD at Queen Mary, University of London). She has also worked at Goldsmiths, University of London as a Research Associate on an ESRC-funded project on the development of object recognition into adolescence, and has been teaching at UEL as an hourly-paid lecturer since 2012.

I am interested in the visual cognition, especially the processing and representation of unattended objects and their influences on behaviour across the lifespan. I have used behavioural measures, eye-tracking and EEG (ERP).
